I can't believe we are already 3 weeks into the New Year. If you're like me you have at least 3 New Year's resolutions you are trying to focus on. On January 1st, I was so pumped to start my new year's resolutions, like I was dying to get to the gym. However, after a week I began to realize it would take huge commitment for me to accomplish my new year's resolutions.
Over the last week, I've brought 3 different planners to help me reach my new year resolutions. I wanted to share a few of my new year's resolutions and how I plan to achieve them, because I refuse to go through another year without reaching my goals.
My first New Year's Resolution is to stop procrastinating. Procrastination is my best friend and worst enemy. I'm the poster child for "I'll do it first thing in the morning" until I realize I have 5 things already in front of that one thing. At the end of last year, I bought a cute planner from Ross. At the beginning of the week, I plan out my week, the best way that I can, and throughout the week I mark off everything that I have completed with my gold glitter sharpie. That's my favorite part. What I have learned about procrastination is that you can easily prevent it, by planning ahead and giving yourself cushion time. Life runs so much better when you have plan. My second New Year's Resolutions is to get fit. I think that has been on my new year's resolution list for the last few years, but that's the one I always fail at. This year I decided to take a different approach to my fitness journey. I brought me a fitness planner from Amazon. The journal allows you to track your calories, food patterns, meals, and exercise. I'm a person that likes to see everything on paper, so being able to manually track my journey has made it so much better. I have faith that this will be the year, that I begin to take my fitness and health serious. I mean, we only have one body, we better treat it right. My 3rd New Year's Resolution that I would like to share with you guys is that I really want to live this year. By living, I mean I want to have fun, live in the moment, and actually enjoy life. As humans, we get so caught up in our day to day routines, that we forget to stop and enjoy life. This year, I want to make memories that I will never forget. I want to travel, go on random adventures. I just want to explore what all the world has to offer. I've already planned trips to music festivals, that I would like to go to this year. I've promised myself I will do something adventurous this year, haven't decided on what that will be yet, but I'll keep you guys posted :) I can't wait to see how much growth this year will bring.
